  1. Heat some ghee in the pan
  2. Add red chilli, coconut, coriander seeds, saunf, methi seeds and fry it for sometime
  3. Switch of the flame and grind it on the mixer with little water and make a thick paste
  4. Heat some ghee in an another pan
  5. Add mustard seeds, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves and onions and fry from three to four minutes
  6. Add chicken to it then sprinkle turmeric powder and salt
  7. Keep cooking till chicken is half cooked and then add the paste
  8. Add water and cook the chicken for 10 to 15 minutes
  9. Check for salt and serve it with steamed rice

Kori gassi is a traditional Mangalorean Bunt's dish with a coconut based red curry. Here Kori means chicken and Gassi means curry. Mangalore is a hot coastal region.
