  3. Get 2 tbsp ghee
  4. Get 2-3 green chillies

  8. Prepare 1 tsp split black gram (urad dal)
  9. Prepare 1 medium onion
  10. Make ready 1 tbsp crushed coconut

  14. Get For Pattie:
  15. Get 150 gms boneless chicken
  16. Prepare 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  17. Get 1/2 tsp dry rosemary
  18. Make ready 1 tsp chilli powder
  19. Take 2 tbsp bread crumbs (to mix)
  20. Make ready 1/2 cup bread crumbs (to cover)
  21. Take 1 egg
  22. Get As required Oil for frying
  23. Make ready As required Salt
  24. Take For Burger:
  25. Get 1 big onion (sliced evenly)
  26. Take 2 small tomatoes (sliced)
  27. Prepare 2 green pepper (sliced)
  28. Get 3-4 burger cheese slices
  29. Take 2-3 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  30. Prepare 1/2 cup cabbage (shredded)

Steps to make Upma burger:
  1. To make Upma: Roast semolina in a ghee. Keep stirring and make sure lumps have not formed. Remember, the semolina's colour shouldn't get change, so keep roasting on low flame. Keep aside.
  2. Heat oil, and add chilli and curry leaves. Fry till chilli gets pop. Now add both split grams(dals) and fry again for 5 mins.
  3. It's time to add onion into it. Fry till onion is translucent. Then add crushed coconut and fry it for 3 minutes.
  4. Now add water into it as required (I prefer x3 cups for 1 cup semolina). Add coriander leaves in it and bring it to boil.
  5. It's time to add semolina. Keep add little by little into the water stirring continuously. Stirring avoids lumps formation. Cook till it absorbs 5/6th water. Put off the flame.
  6. Transfer it to the bun like mould immediately and keep it aside.
  7. To make a pattie: grind chicken finely.
  8. Mix salt, rosemary, garlic powder, chilli powder and bread crumbs into it.
  9. Make a round shaped pattie (required size and thickness). Dip it into a beaten egg, cover it with bread crumbs and shallow fry it till it's golden brown. And keep aside
  10. Now take a upma bun, demould it. Apply tomato ketchup on it, place a onion slice on top of it,then place 2 tomato slices, then a pattie, then a cheese slice, then a slice of bell peppers, then spread a handful of cabbage. Cover it with upma bun where ketchup is applied on lower side of it. Bake it at 150°C for 5 minutes or till the cheese melts.
  11. Ready to serve.. serve it with french fries and salad.
