  5. Put ginger pieces,scrapped coconut and green chillis in a mixer jar.Grind them into a fine paste with a little water.
  6. Now,heat oil in a pan.Temper it with both black and green cardamoms,cloves,cinnamon and bay leaf.Wait till the fragrance comes out
  7. Add finely chopped onions.Sauté till onion is golden.
  8. Now,add the marinated chicken to the pan and mix well.
  9. Add the masala powder and cook for 3-4minutes.
  10. Now,add masala paste and mix again.
  11. Add 1/2cup of water and mix.
  12. Cover and cook till the chicken is soft.
  13. Uncover the pan,adjust salt & sugar as per taste.
  14. Add garammasala powder.Mix well and cook for 1minute.
  15. Dish out and serve hot with steamed rice/paratha/chapati.
