  2. Prepare 50 grams ginger
  3. Take 7 clove garlic
  4. Get 50 grams coconut
  5. Make ready 1 kg chicken

  7. Get 2 tbsp chili powder
  8. Get 1/2 tbsp turmeric
  9. Take 1 coriander
  10. Prepare 1 salt

The masala is made from a blend of mint leaves and coriander leaves that is spiced with an array of spice powders. Marinating the chicken for a long period of time to develop enough flavor is the key here. In a kadai - Add oil, once it heats up add bay leaf and chopped onions. Instructions to make Chicken Hariyali:
  1. Cut onions and coconut into small pieces and roast it on stove till it gets brownish color. Simultaneously cut ginger and garlic into small pieces.
  2. Grind roasted onions, coconut, ginger, garlic and coriander using mixer until it becomes fine powder. Add 10 ml of water while grinding.
  3. Wash chicken properly and have it cut into appropriate size as required.
  4. Take a vessel of appropriate size to cook. Add 5-6 tablespoons of oil and heat it.
  5. Once oil is heated add the paste powder which we have created in step 2. Let it cook for 5 mins and keep stirring.
  6. Add chicken pieces into this and mix well. Now add water until chiken gets immersed into it. Now add salt as per taste.
  7. Cook for half hour on slow stove. Or until chicken is cooked properly and let the water evapouarte as per the gravy required.
  8. It should be ready now… Enjoy with bread
