The ingredients needed to make Chicken masala:
- Make ready 1/2 kg chicken cut into small pieces
- Get 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- Prepare 1 teaspoon coriander powder

Add the garam masala, tomatoes, soup, coconut milk, and salt and pepper to taste and bring to a boil. This is an easy recipe for Chicken Tikka Masala–chicken marinated in yogurt and spices and then served in a tomato cream sauce. Serve with rice or warm flatbreads. And the chicken is perfectly tender with the creamiest, most flavor-packed sauce ever!
Steps to make Chicken masala:
- Add chicken along with chilli powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, pepper powder and a splash of water. mix well. Also add a pinch of salt to it.
- Set aside for 30 minutes
- Later, in a pressure cooker cook the chicken with little water. Once the chicken turns a bit white, turn off the gas. Keep the remaining juice in the pressure cooker.
- In another pan, heat oil and fry the chicken taken from the juice. Always remember not to use the juice.
- Fry the chicken for almost 2 minutes
- Set aside the chicken.
- Heat 2 teaspoon of oil in another pan Saute the chopped ginger and garlic till it turns golden brown
- Add curry leaves and green chillies
- Add onion and saute till the onion turns soft and golden.
- Add the chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder.
- Add the chopped tomato and mash them.
- Add tomato puree and ketchup.
- Now add the remaining chicken stock from the pressure cooker and mix well.
- Add the fried chicken
- Saute for a minute and your chicken masala is ready… 😊
