- Get 1 tbsp ghee
- Get 2 tbsps onion finely chopped

Steps to make Harees/Alsa/Alisa:
- Wash and soak the wheat in water for 2 hours. For faster cooking, soaking overnight is recommended.
- Drain the wheat and transfer to pressure cooker. Add the chicken, chopped onion, cloves and salt. Pour enough water and cook till one whistle blows.
- Then cook on low flame for about 45 mins to 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, heat ghee in a pan and fry the finely chopped onions until golden brown.
- After an hour, when pressure is down, open the cooker and pour coconut milk and mix well to achieve desired consistency.
- Remove from flame when it starts boiling.
- Transfer to a bowl. Pour ghee and garnish with the fried onions. Serve along with a bowl of sugar.
- You can use any kind of meat - chicken, beef or mutton
