Spicy Chicken Thoran Recipe / ചിക്കൻ തോരൻ / Ramadan Special / Homemade Recipe. Spicy Chicken Thoran Recipe / ചിക്കൻ തോരൻ is an excellent side dish. It is a nice rice accompaniment and can also be served with any types of rotis. Chicken thoran is a very easy and tasty recipe.
Steps to make Chicken Thoran:
- Cook the chicken with a pinch of salt &pepper on low flame, adding an ounce of water if necessary till the chicken is almost cooked and gravy is absorbed. Shred the chicken into small pieces.
- Grind together coconut, chilly powder coriander powder,turmeric powder,masala powder and springs of curry leaves into a coarse form.
- Heat oil in a pan on low flame
- Add chopped onion and salt for a minute.Then add ginger and garlic and sort for a second
- Add chicken and sort for a moment.
- Add salt and coconut mixture into chicken.
- Stir well and cover and cook on very low flame for 3 minutes.
- Open the lid and remove from flame
- Serve hot with chappathy and plain rice
